Bachelor of Community Design (Planning) Field Placement

The Bachelor of Community Design (BCD Honours) program provides a work-integrated learning opportunity as students work toward becoming professional planners. BCD Honours includes a work placement in fourth year (PLAN 4100 Community Design Internship) during which students have a work-integrated learning opportunity with a local community partner engaged in some element of community design or planning.

Master of Planning Co-op

Master of Planning students understand urban and environmental systems as well as the relationship between them.  During their degree, MPLAN students are preparing to become professional planners and will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in professional practice on a Co-op work term during the summer term following their first year of study.  The WIL Co-op office assists MPLAN students in preparing for and conducting their job search.  MPLAN students have been employed in the Atlantic region, throughout Canada, and some have worked abroad (e.g., United States and Europe). Although supported by the WIL Co-op office, students bear the responsibility for securing approved work terms and should commence their job search early in their first year of study (i.e. Winter Term of Year 1).
