This course will provide a survey of Italian Literature from the Middle-Ages to 1600. Literature covered may include works of writers such as Dante Alighieri, Francesco Petrarca, Giovanni Boccaccio, Catherine of Siena, Niccolò Machiavelli, Benvenuto Cellini and Veronica Franco. This course will be given in English; readings for Italian Minor students will be in both English and Italian.
