This course satisfies the Faculty of Science Writing Requirement. The course covers communication theory; scientific style; grammar and punctuation; words, sentences, and paragraphs; the scientific process and scientific communication; research proposals; graphics; sections of the scientific paper; citations and references; posters; and ethics. Weekly assignments/quizzes apply writing skills introduced in lectures and small weekly tutorials further develop skills.
