Minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation

This minor is available to students registered in a 120-credit hour undergraduate program within the following Faculties: Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, Computer Science, Science and Agriculture who have room in their degree requirements for the required credit hours.  Courses cannot be normally double counted for both a Minor and a Major. Please consult your Faculty.

The requirements are:

  • MGMT 2902.03 Innovation Management: A Design Thinking Approach
  • COMM 3307.03 / MGMT 3907.03: New Venture Creation
  • MGMT ####: Capstone Course (still in design). Will be run for the first time in Winter 2021.
  • 9 credit hours from a list of approved elective courses (see below).

Students will have the opportunity to select their 3 electives from a list provided by the Faculties of Agriculture, Arts and Social Sciences, Computer Science, Management, and Science. The list of electives is divided into three clusters: Leadership,In Context,and Experiential. Students will select one elective from each cluster.

  • Students are responsible for satisfying all pre-requisite requirements for electives.
  • Provided students can fulfill the necessary pre-requisite requirements, they can select electives from any Faculty’s approved list.
