Minor in Food Bioscience
This minor is available to students registered in a 120 credit hour Bachelor of Science (Agriculture), Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Science (Medical Sciences) program.
The minor is designed to enhance knowledge, skills and critical thinking of students in food science and technology, food bioactives and health benefits, value-added food manufacturing and bio-processing, nutraceutical sciences and food quality and safety.
18 credit hours chosen from the following, in consultation with the academic advisor.

- CHMA 3011.03: Fundamentals of Food Chemistry
- FOOD 3002.03: Impact of Food on Health
- FOOD 4001.03: Food Quality and Safety OR NUTR 3000.03: Introduction to Nutrition
- FOOD 4005.03: Functional Food and Nutraceuticals
- MCRA 4001.03: Food Microbiology
