Minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation

This minor is available to students registered in a 120-credit hour undergraduate program within the following Faculties: Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, Computer Science, Science and Agriculture who have room in their degree requirements for the required credit hours.  Courses cannot normally be double counted for both a Minor and a Major. Please consult your Faculty.

The requirements are:

  • MGMT 2902.03 Innovation Management: A Design Thinking Approach
  • MGMT 3907.03 / COMM 3907.03: New Venture Creation
  • MGMT 4901.03 / COMM 4901.03 Applied Entrepreneurship and Innovation
  • 9 credit hours from a list of approved elective courses (see below)

Students will have the opportunity to select their 3 electives from a list provided by the Faculties of Agriculture, Arts and Social Sciences, Computer Science, Management, and Science. The list of electives is divided into three clusters: Leadership, In Context, and Experiential. Students will select one elective from each cluster. 

Approved elective options from each faculty and cluster are below. Please note:

  • Students are responsible for satisfying all pre-requisite requirements for electives.
  • Provided students can fulfill the necessary pre-requisite requirements, they can select electives from any Faculty’s approved list.
