Certificate in Fintech and Financial Innovation

The FinTech and Financial Innovation Certificate will appeal to students who are interested in the rapidly developing field of FinTech and the associated innovations in the delivery of financial services.  In particular, students will develop skills and knowledge in the areas of innovation and adapting technology for scalable mass-market applications. 

Eligibility:  The Certificate is open to any Dalhousie undergraduate student.  Non-degree Dalhousie students may qualify for the Certificate if they fulfill all course requirements at Dalhousie.

Note – this certificate is not available to those majoring in Finance

Required Courses (9 credit hours):
MGMT 3201 Financial Management
COMM 2220 Introduction to FinTech
COMM 3203 Financial Institutions*

*Students will be required to complete MGMT 3201 with a minimum grade of B- before registering for COMM 3203.

Students must obtain a minimum grade of B- for all courses counted toward the certificate.  All required courses must be completed at Dalhousie.

To graduate with the FinTech and Financial Innovation Certificate students must apply to graduate per the timelines determined by the Registrar's Office.
