This course builds on the foundational concepts introduced in
COMM 2202 and deepens students' understanding of key corporate finance principles and decision-making tools. Topics include net present value and competing valuation techniques, capital budgeting, the cost of capital, capital structure decisions, payout policy, mergers and acquisitions, and the fundamentals of derivatives. Emphasis is placed on applying financial theory to real-world corporate challenges.
