COMM 2303 Introduction to Organizational Behaviour

This course will provide an overview of organizational behaviour theory, as well as an introduction to the practical application of that theory, within the context of the external and organizational forces that impact management. Through lectures, assignments, and discussion, students will be introduced to the theoretical basis of managing people in organizations. Key topics will include understanding how individual factors, such as personality and perception; group processes, such as team development and leadership; and contextual issues, such as organizational culture influence how people work. Experiential exercises will be incorporated to link theory with management practice.
