ECED 4130 Electric Power Systems II
CREDIT HOURS: 3
This course presents different techniques used in the analysis of interconnected systems, power flow problem, and iterative methods for its solution. Different power system protection techniques will be introduced and how to design different relays (over and under currents relays, over and under voltages relays, distance relay, etc.). Power system stability will be discussed. Optimal operation of electric power systems and their economic dispatch as well as different new optimization techniques will be introduced.
