This course will provide the student with a working knowledge of the day to day operational management of human resources. The course will focus on the requirements of a manager to mentor, lead and manage the organization’s human resources. The interaction and interdependencies between the manager and the human resource department will be examined. Topics include labor management relations; human rights and labor related legislation; recruitment and selection; performance development and management; professional development and training; compensation related issues; collective bargaining and dealing with special employment related issues.
