The course is designed to examine the benefits of applying standard industry concepts to public relations and marketing to the emergency medical services environment. Topics focus on marketing and public relations terminology and concepts, marketing within the healthcare setting, public relations, risk and crisis communications, and integrated strategic communications planning as they apply within the emergency medical services environment. In this on-line course, readings, learning activities and assignments, will encourage the learner to implement the concepts of successful public relations and marketing strategies to promote and advance emergency medical services within the community context.
