This course introduces students to the organizing principles and structures of governments in Canada, including federal, provincial, municipal and territorial governments. The course explores the role of the permanent public service and seeks to examine the relationship between the various public institutions in Canada, including the public service, political parties, advocacy groups, and the courts. For those interested in business this is an important course as it provides an understanding of the core structures business must understand when dealing with government. As citizens this course provides a framework for understanding your rights and responsibilities.
