Welcome - Strategic Management MGMT 4003   Strategic Management
CREDIT HOURS: 3
Strategic Management is about the sources of competitive advantage and how strategies are formulated and implemented to realize this advantage. Accordingly, this course examines the role of the general manager in the organization; environmental and industry factors; organizational resource and capability constraints; the creation of value through strategies at different organizational levels, and, finally, how an organization leverages its resources and capabilities to implement its strategies. In particular, the content and process of strategy formulation and implementation are examined in the context of the thematic areas of study and professional practice upon which the Faculty of Management is formed.
