In this online course we will explore the array of beliefs and practices of aging and the life course cross culturally. We will explore the enormous diversity in the aging experience around the world as well as the universals of human aging. Case studies will be examined to provide salient evidence of concepts examined in the course. This course will be useful for students in the social and science and humanities as well as health professionals, nursing, gerontologists, to provide adequate knowledge and skills for culturally appropriate geriatric care.This is an online course using Dalhousie’s online learning system. Students are required to have daily access to a computer with high-speed internet access.
