The course provides a thorough grounding in scientific research methods used by psychologists. Lectures explore analytic procedures commonly employed to investigate human and animal behaviour. Students conduct and analyze in written reports a series of experiments in the laboratory to illustrate important concepts discussed in class.
NOTES: Restricted to students registered in Psychology or Neuroscience programs. It is highly recommended that students take PSYO 2501.03, Statistical Methods I, concurrently with PSYO 2000.03. Students must attend the first lecture session.

LAB HOURS PER WEEK: 2
PREREQUISITES: PSYO 1011.03 (or PSYO 1021.03 or PSYO 1031.03) and PSYO 1012.03 (or PSYO 1022.03 or PSYO 1032.03); OR SCIE 1506.09/1507.09 (or SCIE1505X/Y.18). All prerequisite courses must have a grade of B- or better.
