Each year, this “advanced issues” course focuses on a different specific topic within the general area. In past years topics have addressed how health is socially and culturally constructed, the differential social and cultural effects of health knowledges and power relationships, and how various perspectives on health are challenged from within and beyond the health professions. PREREQUISITES: One SOSA 1000 level course or FYP and fourth year Honours standing. Permission to register is subject to the discretion of the Instructor for students who are not SOSA Honours students.
