The clinical component of the program provides for the integration and application of learning in current academic studies to the clinical environment leading to the development of clinical competence. The purpose of the placement is to provide the student with an opportunity to learn consultation skills, to engage in program development and evaluation, and to educate others about the role of physiotherapy. Through working independently and advocating for their professional role, students learn skills that will serve them well as they enter the profession. Examples of placements/liaisons:-Injury Prevention-Chronic disease management-Primary healthcare-Workers Compensation Board

FORMAT COMMENTS: Students will experience supervised clinical practice with the addition of lectures, labs, small group-case studies and self-directed learning.
