HAHP 3100 Introduction to Research Methods
CREDIT HOURS: 3
This course introduces students to the fundamentals of research in the fields of health and human performance. The course provides an overview of the broad approaches to research including qualitative and quantitative designs. Ethics associated with research, research design, issues in measurement, sampling, data collection strategies, data analysis and report writing are also covered. Through written assignments and other forms of evaluation, students will learn how to collect, review and appraise relevant data, information and literature to inform best practice and decision-making.
