This course will introduce students to designing, planning, implementing, and evaluating programs in leisure and health promotion. Both disciplines develop programs to enhance wellbeing and quality of life for individuals, groups, and communities. The planning process will include issues such as targeting specific populations, scanning for needs and assets, partnering, managing stakeholder relationships, and evaluation. Students will apply what they are learning in a culminating practical service-learning project.
