This course covers essential statistical methods for medical and public health research. Topics include review of descriptive analysis techniques and basic principles of statistical inference for comparison of means and proportions. Students will carry out basic sample size calculations. Students will learn to investigate relationships between variables using both simple and multiple linear regression, as well as logistic regression. Students are required to attend weekly Epidemiology/Biostatistics Lab, where students will conduct hands-on statistical analyses.
