This course is the second capstone course in the Bachelor of Management Program and is a continuation of MGMT 4001.03. The course is about strategy implementation. Through the course, students learn to discern and manage four important variables on the way to effectively implementing a chosen strategy: organizational structure, control systems, people management systems, and organizational culture. In addition, students learn about leadership and management in the context of creating organizational change. The course entails lecture case discussions, individual assignments, and a major team project on strategy implementation within an existing organization. Finally, the course draws on, and applies to, the four thematic areas of study and professional practice upon which the Faculty of Management was formed: the private sector, the environment, the public sector and information technology.
