This course provides students with an understanding of the agri-food value chain which is a system of linked agricultural production, processing and marketing activities undertaken by business committed to efficiently delivering food products that respond to consumer needs while equitably distributing the benefits of doing so in relation to where consumer value is created in the chain. This course will provide students with an understanding of the theory and practice of value chain formation, management and performance in context of globally competitive agribusiness firms.
