This class introduces the concepts, language, and technology associated with digital audio sound design as it applies to Theatre Sound Design, Film/TV, Immersive and Interactive Experiences, Music Production, and Multi-Media Art. Students will learn to use a digital audio workstation (Logic Pro) to create original short digital audio pieces. Students will also gain knowledge on how audio is made manifest in performances and events through the use of theatrical cueing software (QLab) and sound reinforcement systems.
NOTES: All third or fourth year students may take this course with permission from the instructor, noting that previous music/theatre/media/software knowledge is not mandatory, but will be considered an asset.
