This course studies the work of Latin American women writers. It seeks to introduce students to critical approaches and recurring themes in Latin American women's literature. Representative works are studied within their historical and cultural context. Readings include novels, short stories, plays and caricatures.

This course includes lectures, discussions, group and pair activities. Students may also have opportunities to interact with native speakers outside the classroom through virtual exchange projects, online sessions, or face-to-face sessions within the department. These interactions will be part of the assessment and serve as one of the course's evaluation components.
