This course is designed for senior undergraduate university students or graduate students who are interested in the research and practices in sustainable development. Taught in English, this course is a 10-day study tour in Beijing, China to study issues that are particularly relevant to developing and emerging economies. Building on the context of industrialization and globalization, as well as its related environmental and social problems, this course focuses on viable business strategies and economic development policies at international, national and regional levels. Students will apply the principles of sustainable development to analyze specific problems, cases , and explore business, economic and policy solutions for emerging economies, particularly China.
