This clinical practicum introduces students to
Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound. Within the
Diagnostic Imaging and Cardiac Departments,
students will develop a knowledge of
departmental procedures, an ability to interpret
and utilize requisitions and demonstrate
proficiency in equipment selection and
instrumentation. Students will develop clinical
skills in performing abdominal, pelvic and cardiac
ultrasound examinations. Students will apply
health professional practice skills when
interacting with patients and healthcare
professionals.
