This course introduces students to the basic tenets of health promotion as a field and discipline, including health inequalities, health of communities, and health promotion ethics. This course will provide students with an opportunity to explore and critically analyze contemporary applications of health promotion. Students will also be introduced to the process of scholarly writing and research. The course will introduce students to the principles of health advocacy in relation to inequities and marginalized populations.
