This course serves as an introduction to Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) through the application of the finite volume method (FVM) to fluid and thermal problems encountered in mechanical design. The required conservation equations will be reintroduced. The FVM will be applied to diffusion and diffusion-convection problems, under both steady and unsteady conditions. Boundary conditions and solution methods to the velocity-pressure coupling will be presented. A commercial CFD software will be used for complex problems.
