An introduction to plants in horticulture focusing on managed and natural landscapes where students develop a basic understanding of plant-landscape interactions. The functional relationships between plant growth and landscapes are addressed, as well as the appropriate horticultural techniques to manage plants and vegetation in the landscape. Procedures to read plans, layout and install plants and gardens will be studied and practiced.
