Skeletal and Systems Radiography provides the student with the knowledge required to perform radiological imaging procedures of the vertebral column, craniofacial structures, body organs and systems. Elements of the course include patient positioning, alignment of the radiation field, patient management, use of contrast media, and image analysis. Images are assessed with a focus on structures demonstrated, evaluation criteria, and modifications required to improve image quality. Students have the opportunity to practice and demonstrate the radiographic positions in a tutorial/simulation setting.
