This course will explore some of the greatest works of fiction in the Hispanic world alongside their cinematic adaptations. Through thought-provoking discussions, you will acquire a critical perspective on contemporary issues related to race, ethnicity, gender, politics, globalization, and human rights in Latin America and Spain. Don’t worry if you’re new to cinema or the Spanish language. The course will be taught in English, with modifications for students enrolled in Spanish programs.
