This course provides a comprehensive study of advanced echocardiographic techniques and abnormal findings in the cardiac ultrasound examination. A review of fundamental echocardiography will prepare the student for a more in-depth exploration of echocardiography. The clinical indications and the fundamentals of transesophageal, stress, contrast, agitated saline, strain, and 3D echocardiography examinations will be covered, in addition to congenital and acquired cardiac disease processes evaluated with echocardiography.
