Students will broaden their exposure to business/enterprise management by participating in a planned learning experience in an approved business organization (private sector, government or non-government organization). Based on the area of interest, students will find placements in suitable organizations and submit a work plan to the course instructor and host organization. Students will be required to submit regular reports on their placement experience, and will be required to relate research-based learning to their work experience. The host organizations will evaluate students on their development of critical skills and abilities.
NOTES: Duration of placements must be 12 weeks, and the equivalent of 35 hours per week. INFB students must complete the internship within North America unless they have previous North American work experience. They may not complete the internship in Europe. Students are limited to 2 INTA courses providing elective credit toward their degree requirements, unless otherwise stipulated in their program, i.e. International Food Business.
