Academic Programs

The College of Sustainability offers undergraduate programs in Environment, Sustainability, and Society (ESS). ESS can be a Major or Honours subject in a BA Double Major or Combined Honours degree with an Allied Subject from the Faculty of Arts and Social Science or the Faculty of Science. Sustainability Work-Integrated Learning options (Co-op and Work Experience Program) are available with this degree. 

ESS can be added as a Minor to any 120 credit hour BA degree, or can be taken as a Minor in a 90 credit hour BA degree.

The College of Sustainability also offers Undergraduate Certificate programs:

  • Certificate in Environment, Sustainability and Society
  • Certificate in Communicating Sustainability
  • Certificate in Food, Agriculture, and Sustainability
  • Sustainability Leadership Certificate (non-credit Certificate)
