CREDIT HOURS: 3
This course follows PERF 3721.03 by continuing to teach the conceptual function of digital projection for live performance, including theatre, music, and dance. Students will learn how to develop a concept for integrating projection and create a folio of still and video images that they will then enter into Qlab ready for performance. Throughout, students will learn not only about image creation and manipulation, but also about the art of adding pace and motion to the scenic environment and its impact on the visual dramaturgy of live performance. This course is required for students in the Technical Theatre and Stage Design programme, but it can also be taken as an elective by students in other disciplines. Students must complete PERF 3722 in the same academic year that they complete 3721.03.
